Bible Study Success

Wow!
Last night's Bible Study was very good.  We had a great time while we studied Phillipians Ch.1 - 2:18.  We looked into the heart of the Apostle Paul.  While Paul was in prison in Rome he wrote the the church at Phillipi and told them that he was praying that God would increase their knowledge and discernment so that they could could better decide what is good so that they will stay pure until Judgement Day.  Since Paul tells them what he thinks is important for them it lets them know what they should think is important.  We can all take the same advice and pray for ourselves and for each other that we may all grow in knowledge and judgement.


We can also gain solace that Paul, even in his affliction was happy that the Gospel was spreading.  So even if Satan has gotten you down don't give up, God still has work to do.  It was evident last night that there are still people eager to ENCOUNTER God.  With the good number that we had last night and the promise of more next week I am truly excited.  I see all around that Satan is working to hinder the church but everyone can be comforted that GOD is also working in the Church.  GOD HASN'T FORSAKEN THE RIGHTEOUS. 


We should all strive to be able to say what Paul said, "For me to live is Christ and to die is to gain."
I hope we all know that if we die we will go to Heaven, and have the determination to spread the gospel the whole time we live.
