Vacation Bible School has, in the past, been something that a few people have been involved in and the target audience has been slack because of this. Please don't misunderstand what I am saying, our VBS programs have been great and we have done a lot of things with it, BUT it could be so much more than that.
This year we are planning a VBS/Summer Day Camp. This is going to be exciting and fun. It will be a huge success and we will have lots of kids at it. We will be hosting it here at the church building. It is going to be the biggest push targeted toward kids that we have ever had.
It will be five days and it will be twelve hours each day. WHOA! oh never mind I don't guess your god can do that. The only way that God wouldn't bless this is if we don't have faith that he will and if we aren't willing to work to make this happen. To all the nay-sayers out there, I have the faith that God will be in this and that he will bless it beyond our expectations.
There will be a lot of planning that Pastor Jeff, Sis. Cathy, Sis. Natalie, Sis. Heater and I will be doing. We can't do this alone. This will be bigger than the Light The Night With Jesus event that the Church hosted back in October. Which by the way was a huge success. It took the whole Church to organize and work the function so you can imagine how badly we need your help.
There will be a VBS planning meeting on the Second Sunday in February following the morning service. I invite you to join us then to find out what you can do to help make this year's VBS a success.
Keeping you all in my prayers,
Cainan
